I took this tour on a whim with some friends the last week of August and it was fantastic! Above and beyond my expectations. Our tour guide Emily was so fun and knowledgeable. She led us around Hell's Kitchen to 3 different speakeasy locations and weaved in the most interesting stories about prohibition and NYC history. This is not only a historical tour, but a great way to meet fellow NYC travelers and have a fun night out! It was definitely the highlight of my weekend in NYC. Highly recommend for all ages! (Well, all ages 21 and over...)

Tour was officially called the NYC Prohibition and Pubs tour. Had the misfortune of having a trainee and a more than over-the-top official guide. Not enough history and the history that was shared was fair at best and several of us were asking historical questions than really remained answered after they said that they would be covered later in the tour. Four great locations though and to visually see the locations was cool. One small complimentary drink at the first location and then all other locations were on your own dime if you choose to partake. The Dear Irving location was a new location apparently and had a great view of the Hudson yards. If you are looking for a lot of drinks that you have to pay for and want to see some pretty cool speakeasys with a little history thrown in, then you will be fine. I was seeking a little more history and for that it was less satisfactory to me.

Enthusiastic and vibrant tour led by Kate who was full of energy and delivered information in an entertaining way. Places visited would not have entered if not for this tour. Would definitely recommend to all ages and walking ability.
