Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis Viewing) Chasing with Photography in Fairbanks

Overview
Northern Lights Seasons: from August 25 to April 25.
(It will be at 10:30pm or 11:00pm. But we start a little late at 11:30pm from March 20 to April 25.)

We can’t promise to let you see the Northern Lights, which is Mother Nature that we cannot control. It is a natural phenomenon.

The weather or Aurora activity may change during the tour.

Even though everything is good or not good (Weather and Aurora Activity) when it starts, the weather or Northern Lights' activity always changes, and other conditions may change. It will be the natural things involved, which causes a lack of lights or low visibility.

We pick you up at Hotels listed.
(You may get an email about Pick up time and Location.)

With Photo Service we will upload your photos into OneDrive or Dropbox linked. It takes 2 days to send a URL linked.

Majestic!!! I am very thankful to our guide David. He was very efficient! I was worried we were not gonna get anything after trying from another company and not getting any luck. David however knows very well what he’s doing-thus our success. He took us to different places and he was very quick to spot auroras at their beginning stages. He would have us wait In the car so we don’t get too cold and when he spots it he calls us and take beautiful photos! Highly recommended!!!!

Hi, Thank you for the GREAT Review on TripAdvisor. Your family and you were so blessed to see the Northern Lights. It was ice foggy and full moon. But, God allowed you and your family to see the Lights that were coming down suddenly and little bit dancing at the 2nd spot. And you got beautiful photos at the 3rd spot. Thank you again for your amazing review on it. Have a blessed day. Leah Alaska Journey Tours

We are truly sorry that it happened. Before we started to chase the lights, it was Mostly Clear. When it started, the weather forecast said that it would be partly cloudy in 1 hour. But, the weather totally changed. We came by 5 spots to find clear skies. But, the weather forecast continued to change and change. We sent the following messages before starting the tour: .... However, the weather always changes. Northern Lights can be viewed under the clouds and Kp index 2 (Low Activity). On the other hand, the lights did not show up even though everything was perfect. It happened that the Lights did not come out under good conditions. We try to explore and do our best to chase the lights and to find clear skies. We posted the followings on TripAdvisor, Viator & Expedia as you knew when you booked: "We can’t promise to let you see the Northern Lights, which is Mother Nature that we cannot control. We would not cancel due to lack of lights or cloudy skies. The weather always changes and other conditions may change. - from TripAdvisor & Viator" .... Have a blessed trip. Leah Alaska Journey Tours

It started off a little strange, driver picked us up,but wasn't saying much.Drove to another hotel and picked up some more guests.Still wasn't saying much. Finally as we got on the road,he started talking, asking us where we were from, etc.First stop we were able to some lights, picture taken ,went on to the next stop, more lights, more pictures,we then just walked a little to get more pictures. It wasn't a spectacular show, but he was sure we were going to see something and get pictures.I recommend.

Hi, Thank you for the GREAT Review on TripAdvisor. It is amazing that you mentioned what we have done, which shows how the Aurora Chasing was. We are chasing how the Lights go. We change the direction and find the clear skies depends on the weather and the spots. Even though he is not talkative, he knows how to chase the LIghts to satisfy our client to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in Fairbanks. He loves taking photos for our clients. Thank you again. Have a blessed day. Leah Alaska Journey Tours
