The most magical of days! We took our 8 year olds on this full day tour. We were worried it would be boring or too long, but quite the opposite. I actually packed their ipads to fill in some of the time AND THEY NEVER WANTED TO TURN THEM ON! That's the most telling sign that they were enthralled with the day. The staff were unbelievable. They spent so much time answering questions about Alaska and all of the wildlife we saw, including humpback whales, otters, seals, and countless varieties of birds (including puffins!) Then to sit quietly next to a glacier, watching chunks fall into the ocean was beautiful. Captain had a peaceful voice that i could (and did) listen to all day. The lunch wasn't bad, dinner wasn't great (mostly because we don't eat carbs, not their fault) but we didn't come for the food. We came for the experience! Thank you for the memories!

My husband and I went on this cruise a couple years ago. I was a little worried about it being 9 hours long but I am so glad that we did this. We saw lots of wildlife including whales, lots of sea lions sunbathing on the rocks and lots of puffins! But most awe inspiring of all was when we finally reached the northwestern fjord. This is what makes the 9 hours worth everything. It was so beautiful that words can't explain. Seeing the glaciers in the mist was like being on another planet. It was amazing and nothing else can compare. Yes, we visited other glaciers while in Alaska but none compare to this experience. Make sure to bring hat and gloves and maybe a small blanket.
