We take food tours primarily to learn about the local dining experience, and they don't get more authentic than this! We had small bites in mom-and-pop places that we definitely would have never found on our own. I was a little skeptical at first that it would be enough food (we're big eaters when on vacation!) but we were both full by the end of the 8? stops. Delicious food! I loved being in each of the different restaurants and interacting with the staff and observing the everyday exchanges with locals in a non-touristy neighborhood. And there's Dante... :-) Indeed, a Nice Guy, Dante is clearly passionate about his tours and providing his tour guests an amazing NY experience! I wish I could have taken him everywhere we went to get not only his insightful knowledge on the city but also his witty commentary. If you want a great tour (and meal!), call Dante!!

Dante is an amazing guide and an engaging storyteller, who generously shares stories and anecdotes about the foods and neighborhoods of the Lower East side. The many stops on the tour each had a story and a tasty sample, and I was both entertained and educated (and continuously fed) for the three hours as we zig zagged through the area. I would recommend this to anyone

Dante was extremely outgoing, passionate and a wonderful guide on our food tour. He explained everything with a smile despite the cold temperature outside. He lives up to his name of being a nice guy. What a wonderful way to get a taste of New York. Marianne & Bianca
