Went on tour with my wife and 2, 20ās children. Like his company name says, Dante (spell-check changed it to Santa, which is apropos :-), is a nice, funny knowledgeable guy who cares about and fully enjoys his job. His accent quickly gives him away as a native New Yorker, so his authenticity bursts through. Weāre from Jersey, but knew not so much about the history of the lower east side. What a way to learn while tasting the best pastrami, bagels, pickles, dumplings and donuts anywhere.
3 hours is just right as there is not always a place to sit if the restaurant is crowded, but the bottle of water he supplies and several available times to use the restrooms, along with Danteās sunny disposition, keeps everyone happy.
No matter where you are from, you will enjoy this tour.
