Stop and shop (if you wish) at Essex Street market but before you do we visit my friend Saad who gives us a tasting of Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oils at his Essex Olive & Spice shop.

The Pickle Guys pickles almost everything. We try three of their top sellers. They’re sweet. They’re sour. They’re awesome.

Economy Candy

Economy Candy has been around since 1937, dishing out chocolates, nuts, gummies and the candy so many generations have grown up on.

Dante was a great guide. Knowledgable, super friendly, and great taste in a wide range of foods. This is the best variety of food on any tour we’ve ever taken. Katz’s pastrami and Vanessa’s dumplings were worth the whole trip. I would definitely take another Nice Guys Tour.

Right from the start of the tour our guide, Dante, proved to be friendly, approachable, and full of knowledge. He was a true gentleman and had such a wonderful relationship with the people who worked at or owned the various stops that we made on the tour. My wife and I truly loved the diversity of the various venues that we stopped and are at, as well as the knowledge we gained about the Lower East Side, and the various stops we frequented. I would give this experience an enthusiastic recommendation for something new and different to try while visiting NYC. I hope to take the tour with Dante again and bring other friends and family along, as this was a one of a kind taste of New York that is not to be missed.

Dante did an amazing job leading this tour. He was funny, personable, knowledgeable, and the tour stops definitely did not disappoint. I've paid twice as much for half as much food and information on food tours before, but this one was definitely in my top 3 out of over 20 that I've been on. Take this tour if you're in NYC!
