Paying more than the basic admission fee doesn't have as many benefits as you think. For example, buying the priority ticket doesn't get you priority admission. Everybody and their great aunt Thelma go through the priority line, that's all they have. But once you get up to the obs level, your priority ticket gets you a Ipad navigator. Now that's a neat deal. The elevator ride is neat as you are wrapped in LCD panels that begins with you being in a forest of the Lenape Indians. As it ascends, it develops fully into what it is today once it reaches the top. Maybe one point I don't like is how the most favorite place to stand to see uptown side is very small. I guess that's a design decision.
