There is NOTHING negative about this observatory. After reading other negative reviews, it surprises me someone found something negative.....it's a stretch! This observatory gives you great views of the Statue of Liberty, lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, Midtown Manhattan, Hudson River, Empire State building, partial view of Times Square, Ellis Island, Governor's Island, BMW Bridges, Verrazzano Bridge, Staten Island, and Jersey City. The building is amazing and the views are tremendous. The elevator ride is awesome and all of the employes were top notch, like Disney top notch employees. There are three floors of the entire observatory. One floor is the main observation deck while the others are cafe, dine, and main entrance from the elevator. The do take a picture of you for purchase, we checked out the photo later and did not purchase. An all digital photo purchase is $25. The gift shop is expensive but have some cool little souvenirs. We bought some stationary and a pin (total of $20). Beers from the cafe are $10 and we ate at One Dine. Very good food and AWESOME views while you eat. All seats have a great view, no need to ask for a priority seat for viewing. Plan your trip to the top one hour before sunset, the changing of colors is great. They give you an iPad to help identify buildings across Manhattan, this is very useful. There are employees walking around to help with navigation, identifying views, and various facts. I have been to the Rock, and ESB observation decks...they are awesome too! They are outside while One WTC is entirely inside. Before you go up of after you leave One WTC, get a picture of the Oculus with One WTC....such a cool picture. Picture attached. No need to second guess this trip to the top...DO IT!
