We booked in advance with an 11 am entrance time so we could avoid having to queue on the day. We were early so used the time to wander around the Memorial Pools. Once it was our entry time we were allowed to enter and go through a security check. The lift up to the observatory which is on the 101st floor took 45 seconds - ear popping experience. On exiting the lift you are treated to a very short film with a twist at the end. It was then onto the observation floor. Some tickets include the price of an I-Pad which will tell you what you are seeing or you can pay 15 dollars to rent one. We were a party of 4 so we rented one between us. The views are amazing and you can take your time walking round. Some tickets also include 15 dollars to spend in the shop or the restaurant. If you have an option don't bother as the gift shop is expensive as is the coffee shop
