šØ Avoid the Statue of Liberty Cruise: 75-Min Sightseeing Tour with Live Guide ā TOTAL SCAM! šØ
I didnāt even take their damn tour, and I still had a horrible experience dealing with these scammers.
š° Street Sellers Are Lying Crooks: These people stand around near Battery Park and say anything to get your money. They claim it's an "official" tour, that youāll go inside the Statue of Liberty, that youāll have the best viewsāALL LIES.
š” Aggressive and Pushy: When I refused to buy, they got in my face, blocking my way, trying to pressure me into paying. They literally wouldnāt take NO for an answer.
ā ļø Physical Intimidation: Some of these scammers even tried to touch or grab my arm to stop me from walking away. This is beyond harassmentāitās straight-up intimidation.
š« DO NOT Buy From Them! If youāre near Battery Park or South Ferry and someone approaches you about a "Statue of Liberty Cruise," IGNORE THEM AND WALK AWAY FAST.
What To Do Instead:
ā
Staten Island Ferry (FREE) ā Great views, no scams.
ā
Official Statue Cruises (statuecitycruises.com) ā The ONLY legit way to visit Liberty & Ellis Island.
ā
Reputable NYC Cruises ā Companies like Circle Line offer real sightseeing tours.
šØ Bottom Line: These scammers are aggressive, overcharge for a garbage boat ride, and borderline assault people to force sales. DO NOT ENGAGE.
