What To Expect
1
Tropical Farms (The Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet)
A family-owned farm macadamia nut farm that began its roadside operation in 1987, this farm boasts natural beauty and incredible views. Roosters and chickens freely roam the property, and the farm hosts an area where guests can put their skills to work and crack open their own nuts by placing them on a tree stump and striking them with a rock. A large gift shop can also be found nearby with several different varieties of macadamia nut (from simply salted to fun flavors like caramel and cinnamon). Guests can also enjoy delicious Kona coffee and purchase locally crafted arts and a variety of gifts.
2
Hukilau Marketplace
Hukilau Marketplace, at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, is a vintage throwback to 1950's Hawaii, offering nostalgic food, local goods, and everyone-is-family hospitality. Whether you stop in weekly or on your Oahu vacation, the Hukilau Marketplace takes you by the elbow, puts you at ease, and invites you to experience the aloha of our quaint, century-old community.
3
North Shore
The laid-back North Shore is a stretch of coast known for big waves and professional surfing contests at Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. In summer (May–Oct), Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District has calm water for snorkeling among colorful coral and fish. Indie galleries, surf shops and Hawaiian plate-lunch spots fill Haleiwa town, while the Dole Plantation runs tours of its pineapple fields and tropical gardens.
4
Haleiwa
Haleiwa is a charming, laid-back surf town filled with local style and country ambiance and excellent surf shops and boutiques, fascinating art galleries, and understated restaurants housed in plantation-era buildings. Rich with island history, Haleiwa is now the social and artistic hub of the North Shore. Haleiwa is a far cry from the excitement of Waikiki, and that's precisely how the people of the North Shore like it.
5
Dole Plantation
Originally operated as a fruit stand in 1950, the Dole Plantation opened to the public in 1989. Dole Plantation provides activities for the entire family, including the Pineapple Express Train Tour, the Plantation Garden Tour, and the Pineapple Garden Maze. You can also try a local favorite at the Gift Shop called DoleWhip, a fantastic frozen pineapple treat.
6
Green World Coffee Farms
Green World Coffee Farm is a small farm situated on the famous North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The coffee farm consists of 7 acres of land with approximately +3,000 arabica coffee trees. Green World Coffee Farm was established in 2013 by our owner Howard Green. They offer a full menu of items that can be purchased off the espresso bar, including a retail section where coffee bags and other local merchandise can be bought!
