We went together with my wife in September 2018, and both were very happy that we did it. The boat takes you out to open ocean, where the shark cage is already set up, about 20 min ride or so. Snorkeling stuff is provided upon arrival to the shark cage. There is also chilled water provided by the boat crew. (Not bottled, from cooler). When you get in the cage you will have about 20 min to experience company of sharks which at first feels like not enough time, but turned out to b more than enough. Sharks will be there, don't worry, and there will be many of them. You can take pictures if you desire and if you have underwater devices, or boat crew offers pictures/video package for extra fee. Cool thing is that boat crew does not feed sharks to attract them, so you don't have to worry of anything getting into your mouth and ruining your experience. It was cool experience. Very entertaining. Totally worth it.

Captain Tonya and first mate Martin were super, a very professional and confident team, who were genuinely concerned about our safety and well-being. We had rough seas but I didn’t get nauseas at all. We saw flying fish on the way out and we even spotted a hammerhead shark in the distance. I was surprised at how many sharks we saw, and it was awesome to see more sharks emerging from the deep blue depths below coming up toward our cage. We all were within a few feet of these 9 foot Galapagos Sharks that cruised around our cage. A plastic waterproof case for your iPhone or a GoPro are highly recommended. If you are prone to motion sickness you might not enjoy the experience as much. Getting checked in was a little bit of a concern, just a small shack, but the boat was nice and in excellent condition. This was well worth the fee. I will do it again.

Captain and crew very nice and fun. Just as we were getting in the cage, the captain called it off due to very rough water. He was very sorry and we were disappointed but we really appreciated him being very cautious with our lives. We had fun anyway and hope to do the dive next time we go.
