Enjoy an exciting underwater adventure on Oahu! On this submarine scooter tour, cruise along Maunalua Bay past Diamond Head Crater and then dive under the surface while riding your own self-propelled, electric underwater scooter. Swim with colorful fish, green sea turtles and other marine life in a totally unique and fun way! Your guide will lead the way, and no experience is necessary.

Maximum weight is 350 lbs. Maximum height is 6'8". Waiver is required prior to adventure and participant must have no previous medical conditions; minors must have waiver signed by parent or legal guardian.
CHECK-IN TIME IS 30 MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE. The boat leaves PROMPTLY at departure time.

AMAZING! We totally recommend Island Sports for this trip. Our family of 4 all had a great time. We saw tons of sea turtles and fish galore. Consider this money well spent and don’t forget to tip the staff.

We arrived exactly on time and we left on time. All other tours were being cancelled that day due to high winds. People were throwing up all over the place. Despite this, I am fairly experienced with choppy water and was not affected. I was more disappointed with where we were brought. There was hardly any marine life (limited coral) - no fishes around. In addition, the scooters were not very powerful (one actually had no charge and konked out - this meant I wasn't able to do the event with my family as I had to wait for the next group of scooters to come in). Book an intro scuba lesson at Hanuama Bay instead.

We booked this tour months in advance (6 x adults). Everything was great and we were having an amazing time!!! We were snorkelling and seeing the amazing fish and turtles while waiting for our turn to go on the scooters! Our group were the last to go down on the underwater scooters. Unfortunately one of our group went down had the photos taken and was brought back up (down for approximately 5 - 7 minutes). The guild kept checking oxygen levels of this particular scooter. Once up the guide took the scooter to the other boat and put it all away, had a shower and got changed all while the rest of the group was enjoying the tour under water. It was a good 15 minutes before everyone else came up. For as much as we paid, the one member of our group that came up 5 minutes in was a rip off, and extremely disappointing. We mentioned this to staff and they did offer to put the person that missed out back in but who wants to go in by themselves while the rest of the 20 odd people sit and wait? so overall this would have been a great tour and we would recommend it. However, although we understand safety first and obviously oxygen levels need to be monitored, maybe top up all scooters before people go down in the scooters so there is enough oxygen for the full 20 minutes! This one member of our group feel completely ripped off! In the end we paid hundreds of dollars For a snorkel that we pretty much could have done for free 😢 but the rest of the group had a great time.....
