The Old Port Culinary tour was the highlight of my trip, and not just because I’m a foodie. Timothy was such an interesting guide and really instilled an appreciation for Maine culture, history, and the working waterfront. The food and drinks were wonderful—my favorite parts were the lobster roll, clam chowder, and the blueberry beers. I would definitely recommend this tour because you get so much more out of it than the food. Timothy provided great recommendations for what to do in Portland, and he made the tour a memorable experience.

We had a fabulous time wandering the Old Port area of Portland, ME, with our AMAZING guide, Jason G. His knowledge of the area's history was extensive and his delivery of the information was clever and entertaining. The food stops that were lined up were all delicious! We tasted a wide variety of dishes and sampled several excellent beers and even a delightfully spicy ginger beer! This tour was well designed and efficiently planned. All the restaurants were excellent, and each was ready to receive our group right when we arrived. Jason did not waste a minute of our time together, sharing fun facts and inside info on the city as we walked and while we enjoyed our food. He is a great ambassador for the city of Portland!

We had a fabulous time on the Old Port Culinary Walking Tour of Portland and were intrigued by our guide’s knowledge of Portland’s history as well as the food and establishments we visited. Our guide (who did this on his day off!) brought fresh Maine wild blueberry muffins from near his home to start the tour! He kept everyone laughing and happy in the heat and took us for beers just as we were dropping from thirst! We were sure our guide knew EVERYONE in Portland and had great relationships with establishment owners. All of the stops provided delicious foods, chocolates and beers but perhaps a favorite was Gilbert’s Chowder House with its amazing seafood chowder! This tour is certainly a must do!
