Old West High Country 4X4 Jeep Tour

Overview

Our High Country Tour is the heart of Colorado Adventure. Since 1890 explorers have traversed Pikes Peak in search of Gold and a better life. Your tour follows the Short Line Rail Road Bed that President Teddy Roosevelt once embarked upon proclaiming, “The scenery bankrupted the English language.” Our Forest Service Permits allow us to go off-road, cross streams, explore tunnels and townsites of the Old West. Plan 3-3.5 hours and dress appropriately for this awesome adventure into the Colorado High Country. This tour only runs on weekdays to give you the best possible experience.

We toured with Cougar and it was a blast ! His kindness and enthusiasm for his city was infectious. He told us stories about the founding of Colorado Springs as well as childhood stories about growing up in the area that made everything more personal and meaningful. Driving in the jeep in some of the mountain roads was exhilerating. highly recommend this fun tour. Ask for Cougar !

The jeep tour took all the work out of seeing the magnificent Garden of the Gods, waterfalls, and Cheyenne Canyon. Wild Bill was a great tour guide who pointed out so many things that I don’t think we would have known about or found on our own. The sights were to die for and Wild Bill made sure we had all the opportunities to take pictures. We have 2 young kids who also enjoyed it and said Wild Bill is so kid friendly. :) Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride…. literally!

Was such a great time. We as a family were having a pretty rough day between managing time, weather, regrettable ev rental lol, etc. When we arrived 1 minute late we expected displeasure but instead we were meant by a man named Sante fe. Big smile, kind soul, great with My children, just all around awesome dude. Great sites. He stopped at beautiful spots for us to take pictures and explore. Stopped at a trade post for souvenirs and what not. And above all else he was very knowledgeable on all the history and fun facts there was to know. Would suggest to anyone and would Def do again!! Thank you Sante fe!
