Overview

On our one-and-a-half-hour dolphin cruise, you’ll get an up-close view of our resident dolphin pod. Between 50 and 70 dolphins reside together in our bay, and by paying close attention to them over the years, we have named many of them. We know them by their unique dorsal fins and will introduce you to our water-loving friends when you cruise with us aboard the Explorer.

The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Because the boat only needs 16 to 18 inches of water underneath, we can sneak into creeks and swamps where few other boats can go, providing you with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Perfect for families or those just wanting a Dolphin-specific cruise in Orange Beach. Our expert guides can identify many of the resident dolphins and share fun facts about their behaviors, their habitat, and their relationships within the pod.

What To Expect

Orange Beach

Our knowledgeable tour guide and captain point out the local flora and fauna. You may see osprey and their nests, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, and maybe even an alligator or two. The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We booked for 2 groups of 9 and when we arrived they only had one group in their system and no room for the other half of us. I am still waiting for my refund for the half that couldn’t go.

Hi Jill. We understand your frustration and we are also upset that this happened. However, as I explained to you in person, this was not human error, but a disconnect between Viator and our reservation system. We have looked into it, and this is the collaborative response that we received from FareHarbor [reservation system] and Viator: "With these reports from Viator, it looks like the customer had 2 different windows up and attempted to buy them 3 seconds apart. This confused the API and allowed the initial one, but since the second one was purchased so quickly behind. Our api rejected it because there could have not been enough spots left in the availability after the initial 9 booked. Your connection is working correctly, this was a workaround by the customer so this should not happen again." Viator has issued you a refund for your second reservation, and we gave you one free ticket to add an additional person to your first reservation. I think a review like this is extremely unfair considering the circumstances, when this reservation was made through a third party. We are working to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Super fun! I was skeptical never using this app before to book, but it was easy to use, cheaper than some & 100 legit! The boat was awesome, nice, big & the crew members were super fun, funny, attentive & did a good job explaining the tour (islands, beach parks ect.) We went at 5PM it was a little over 2hrs long, perfect time you get half sun & half sunset which was beautiful!! We saw lots of dolphins not for very long unfortunately but I think it’s because it was very busy out with lots of boats. Overall recommend. Cheap activity to do with the family!
