Orange Beach Dolphin Eco Boat Tour

Overview
On our one-and-a-half-hour dolphin cruise, you’ll get an up-close view of our resident dolphin pod. Between 50 and 70 dolphins reside together in our bay, and by paying close attention to them over the years, we have named many of them. We know them by their unique dorsal fins and will introduce you to our water-loving friends when you cruise with us aboard the Explorer.

The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Because the boat only needs 16 to 18 inches of water underneath, we can sneak into creeks and swamps where few other boats can go, providing you with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Perfect for families or those just wanting a Dolphin-specific cruise in Orange Beach. Our expert guides can identify many of the resident dolphins and share fun facts about their behaviors, their habitat, and their relationships within the pod.

Sunset sailboat cruise was wonderful! The crew was very friendly and we saw several dolphins. Loved being on the water at sunset.

I booked our cruise for five adults for a Tuesday evening; however, the weather forecast was not promising, so Lisa called to reschedule, and we changed it to an afternoon cruise. Upon arrival, we discovered that I had made a mistake on the original reservation as it was my intent to book the sailboat cruise, but had in fact, booked us on Cetacean's pontoon-style boat. I'm certain that is a fine boat and a nice cruise, but we all wanted the sailboat experience. Cetacean's staff were very friendly and helpful, and able to book us on the sailboat cruise for the following evening. The weather was perfect, and our captain and Miss Abby were very professional. We saw dolphins in the dock area right away, but none were active in the bay. This cruise is in the Wolf Bay area only, not on the Gulf. Many beautiful homes and boats can be seen along the route. Water, soda, and adult beverages are available on board, and Abby was diligent in her duties as hostess and first mate. Our captain played a variety of popular songs from the 70s and 80s and some of our cruise mates entertained us with their dance moves. While we did not take advantage of the offer, cruise tickets can be redeemed at several places near The Wharf for discounts on food and souvenirs. If your crew provides you with a pleasant, relaxing evening as ours did, please tip them generously.

We were told this was a dolphin sunset cruise. We only saw 3 dolphins on the trip. Our granddaughter was expecting to see several. The crew was very helpful and courteous.
