Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Our guide was very informative but expected that you know how to kayak well. My sister and I kayaked for the first time and were not great at steering our kayak. Our guide sort of yelled at us when we were trying to move away from rocks. I'm an adult and have not been yelled at in a really long time. We were trying to get away from the rocks but the waves sort of pushed towards them. Anyway, I thought it was unprofessional of him to speak to us like that. Otherwise, the experience was really nice. The guide was very knowledgeable about marine life there.

KJ and McKenna were great. Kept us feeling safe and powerful on the water. Amazing experience. Didnā€™t get to see a ton of animals like I would have liked but we went to the cove afterwards and stared at some sea lions for hours.

This was our first kayaking experince and we enjoyed a lot. Jack was our guide and he was great. We felt safe. The view was wonderful. We spotted few tiger sharks, bat rays, the kelp forest was great, the sea lions near the cove area were fun to watch and listen to from a distance. Loved this tour and I'd recommend it to others too.
