My husband and I were so excited to have our first paddle board experience today, Brock was a wonderful guide and paddling instructor. We ended up being the only folks booked in our particular time spot and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the St. John River, the Blue Springs, the story of how Three Brothers Boards and Tours got started making their boards which are not only comfortable to paddle, but truly are very nice looking! We saw several manatees, birds, lots of fish and turtles and a small gator for quite a while swam nearby while a larger one was glimpsed (thankfully from further away) swimming along the shoreline vegetation. David and I enjoyed all of our experience, we even were followed for a little while by a "newly released back to the wild" manatee that had a little tracking buoy attached for the rehabbers to monitor him as he gets re-acclimated to his natural home! That was so cool to see š After our tour, we visited Blue Spring State Park for a nice, cool and relaxing swim. Definitely the tour is a great way to learn through having fun, to visit the river and the area where the spring joins it, so interesting to actually see where the two water systems converge and both are breathtakingly beautiful places.
