Orlando Manatee Encounters

Overview
Journey to Blue Spring State Park, winter home to one of Florida’s largest populations of Manatee. Witness hundreds of these "sea cows" relaxing in the spring alone. We had a great trip with Astrid! We learned so much about Florida wildlife and saw many manatees, alligators, and birds. It was extremely peaceful and a very easy paddle. We would highly recommend this trip for anyone looking to experience there beauty of Florida, away from all the hussle and bustle!

We had a great time with Jimmy, our tour guide. He had a great deal of knowledge about the area, the plants and animals, and even recommended an awesome restaurant for us to try out!

This is an excellent tour. Unfortunately, we missed the manatees by a couple days. Astrid was a very knowledgeable and wonderful guide. She knew the flora and fauna well. I can’t blame her for the lack of manatees. She found alligators, turtles, frogs, great blue herons, limpkins, etc. I will be returning to this tour next Jan or Feb when the big guys will be here. I will also try to take a kayaking instruction/safety class with Astrid in the near future.
