We went there in late November, for a 9 AM tour. It was wonderful, very peaceful, lots of wildlife. In the morning it's not so hot, and the tourists are not there yet, so the wildlife is out there, the alligators and turtles were sunbathing, the birds were everywhere. We saw manatees virtually non stop for half of the time on the whole 3 hour tour, many of them. For the other half of the tour, as we're very enthusiastic bird lovers, our guide took us away from the manatee area to a location where we saw more birds pretty close up (and also alligator babies and turtles). We were very lucky later in the trip and saw a big alligator swimming pretty close by. Our guide was so thoughtful in giving us the best experience, thank you Jeff, this was an awesome experience. Big hugs from Iceland.
