Oyster Farm & Tasting Sea Kayak Tour in Casco Bay

Overview
Tasting oysters just harvested from the ocean is significantly different and better than eating them at an oyster bar. Freshness counts! This is a sea kayaking tour that teaches you the basics of sea kayaking on land before launching at Mere Point in Brunswick to visit a working oyster farm in NW Casco Bay!  After visiting the oyster farm, we'll stop on an island for a stretch break, tasting, and shoreline exploring. Learn about aquaculture in Maine and how it improves the health of the bays.

Sea kayaking is an easy, fun way to sight see from the water.  We often see different kinds of sea gulls, cormorants, black and mallard ducks, eider ducks, great blue herons, snowy egrets, osprey and bald eagles. If we are lucky, we will see a seal.

Paddlers of all ages will love exploring Casco Bay in this protected, scenic, historic area! No experience is needed. Single and double kayaks are used on this eco-guided tour by a Master Maine Guide.

An experience my son and husband will never forget for a lifetime. There are not many moments where you can escape from work and hecticness of life and this is one of them. Alice is very organized and focused on keeping safety and learning as part of her priority. She is so connected to the land and its people, and it was wonderful to be part of that. Thank you again Alice. Noah speaks of your trip often and shares your stories to many.

We were able to explore the beautiful calm bay on an incredible morning. Alice was an amazing host and was a wealth of knowledge about the area and industry. It was a unforgettable trip for the family

Making lasting memories for my guests is what an adventure is all about. We dream of what we want a trip to be like, and when it happens, we remember the joy of the trip. I am thankful that I was able as a Master Maine Guide to lead an Oyster Farm & Tasting Sea Kayak tour in Casco Bay that did just that for you and your family. Come back again and have the Alice's Maine Wild Blueberry Mignonette Sauce on your fresh out of the water oysters.

Interesting tour Alice is very well informed. We didn’t paddle far and we didn’t actually find the oysters in the wild. It was nice to kyack. And learn to shuck…she was a bit impatient with us. But overall it was a great experience.

Finding oysters in the wild happens only at low tide and we had a mid-tide tour. We did, as offered, go to an oyster farm. Learning to shuck at most farm led tours is a $35 experience add-on which is included in your tour price with Alice's Awesome Adventures. I hope you liked your candid photos of the trip which were a free bonus.
