Overview

Spend the morning in the Banana River Aquatic Preserve, where you will have a good chance of seeing manatees, dolphins, schools of fish and all kinds of birds. Instructors are on hand so the tour is suited to all levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced paddler or kayaker. Paddle and kayak equipment, expert instruction, parking, and photos of the day are included. We depart from the amazing Brevard Veteran's Memorial Park & Museum, so if you have extra time before or after the tour, you can enjoy the museum.. admission is free!

Having a very enjoyable experience with Sobe Surf in January of 2013, I once again contacted Girard prior to my January 2014 Cocoa Beach vacation. I first scheduled a Manatee Tour. Girard set me up with Will who loaded a couple of nice inflatable SUP boards onto his vehicle and off we went to the best location for viewing some Manatees. The Manatees were everywhere to be seen. They quite often swam next to and underneath our boards. A very pleasurable experience! Next up was a SUP surf lesson. Girard met me mid-morning at the beach the following day. The first thing Girard did was to confirm my own personal SUP board was suitable for the conditions of the day. Before hitting the water, Girard spent several minutes informing me of safety tips, tips for reading the waves, surf etiquette, and paddling technique specific to the surf. Onto the water we went. Girard provided compliments on what I was doing well, and positive feedback on things that I need to work on. I had a great time! Thank you Girard and Will. I plan on another visit with Sobe Surf during my 2015 trip to Cocoa Beach.

This was our first time paddle boarding, we did some research and found sobe surf would be the best fit for us. Their location was beautiful and easy to find it made the whole experience drama free. we first did a private lesson off of their white sand beach to get every one up to speed, the instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable, they made learning easy and enjoyable. After this we went back for a nature tour. On our tour we saw a bunch of dolphins on the paddle and also encountered some extremely friendly and playful manatees. After only considering this as an option on our vacation, it soon became the highlight. it was a beautiful day, we got in a good exercise, bonded with the family and learned a lot about the areas wild life. we highly recommend girard and will at sobe surf and on our next trip back to cocoa we will definitely revisit them.

We vacation every year in Cocoa Beach and went to Sobe SUP for the first time last year - had such an awesome time we went back again last week and had another amazing time - this time we saw dolphins and manatees on our SUP tour! What a great way to start your day and get in some exercise and sun while on vacation! We will definitely be returning to Sobe EVERY year!
