Mitch and Ryker were amazing. They were both great at pointing out the local floral and fauna of the area, had a nice laid back attitude that we really enjoyed.

This was an awesome tour. We really didnā€™t know what to expect from the beginning. We didnā€™t know if this was going to be an easy or difficult tour. Here is what to know. First, you can drive to the location of where the outfitters are located. After you arrive, you check in and can either ride with the tour guides or drive separately to the location of the actual tour. We drove separately so we could go into town after. Your time to check in at the outfitters is 7:45a. The actual time you get the kayak into the water is around 8:45-9:00a. Our tour guides Ryker and Keagan were awesome. They knew so much about the area and were always there to answer questions. Before departing on the kayak, they give you a lunch cooler that contains 2 turkey sandwiches, 2 cold waters, 2 cold juices, and a huge dry bag that fits your backpack. For the tour itself, you do not need to bring sneakers or hiking boots. You need good water shoes or water socks that have great traction. The kayak ride from the beginning of the river to the landing area is an hour paddle. You paddle upstream and is beautiful, I highly recommend the morning tour because it got hot later on coming back. After you arrive to the landing zone, you begin the 1.5 mile hike to the waterfall. Now the hike begins. It is muddy and more intermediate. You walk through lots of rocks, mud, and trees to get to the waterfall. For this hike, like I said you need good water shoes or teva sandals with good tread. You cross 3 rivers while carrying your dry bag. My mother wore sneakers with socks on and got soaked the first crossing so no sneakers. After arriving to the waterfall, you spend 45 min to an hour to eat lunch. The water is beautiful and was a little cold for the time of the year. Itā€™s overall a great scenery. Going back was easy, it seemed faster and easier. Just make sure to watch for slippery wet rocks to and from the waterfall. Overall, this was a fun hike. This is not a cement path hike. You will be ducking, weaving, and climbing around trees or rocks to get to the destination. I highly recommend this tour and would do this again if we came back.
