Paddling in Florida with Manatees

Overview

Manatees! No prior experience needed! You too can Paddle with Sea Monsters! These up to 12 foot long one ton air breathing mammals are the gentlest of the giants of the underwater world! Join us for a passive observation paddle that often results in OMG moments of delight and amazement! Chilly Florida nights in the 40's and 50's brings the manatees to the springs seeking the year round 72 degree spring water. Being that they are a protected/endangered species we'll take a few minutes before the tour to make sure everyone knows the rules and laws surrounding manatees. You'll enjoy paddling on a board, standing or sitting, within a manatee wildlife refuge. Passively observing these giants and other eco wonders during a 2-hour tour with a guide. This unique Florida experience is sure to be the highlight of your vacation and will you make smile every time you recall these magical moments. All equipment is provided. 13 and under are free to ride on their parents board.

No Charge! Children under 13 are free to ride on their parents board. Please add their weight with yours when registering.
Must know how to swim to paddle your own board.
Children 6 and under must wear a vest.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start to check in.
Cold and sunny is good. Windy is bad.
When its cold we don't usually see alligators. For 12 years we have a 100% safety record. You are safe with us.

First off, the location was beautiful and nicely secluded. Ned, our guide, was fantastic. He was patient with us as we learned to maneuver the SUP boards, knowledgeable about the manatees and surrounding area, and he made sure we saw a lot of manatee action. This is a must do adventure for anyone visiting central Florida!

What an amazing couple of hours this was. Ned was a great and funny guide. Took care of us all. There were sooo many manatees - we saw maybe 100 over 2 hours, some swimming by, some stopping to say hello and cozy up to our paddle boards. It’s not far at all to paddle to the spring so an easy trip even for absolute beginners. We will definitely do a trip with Ned again.

We have been paddling with Paddleboard Orlando for at least 10 years now. The experience is always wonderful and always fun. We saw a ton of manatees yesterday and were able to do a nice paddle on the St. John's becasue it was a small group. Ned is the best - you will not be disappointed. It's the best money you can spend in Central Florida.
