Pelagic Shark Dive Tour

Overview

Our cage-free experience allows you to SAFELY swim with sharks in their natural environment. You will walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for these beautiful creatures. Photos and Videos are included for free on every tour! We are a Native Hawaiian family owned and operated company rooted in Haleiwa, Hawai'i on the North Shore of O'ahu.

A safety diver will escort you into the water where you will be able to safely watch as well as swim with the sharks, and other pelagic creatures. While swimming in the open ocean with sharks and other pelagic creatures, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the ocean and its inhabitants - disposing of the irrational fears and misconceptions of sharks and other ocean creatures.

This is a "cage-free" experience where we will be free swimming with sharks for about 30 minutes. No heavy equipment is used. Just us with snorkel gear - so we keep the experience as natural as possible.

Get a good night's rest before your adventure!
We kindly ask you leave behind any preconceived notions about sharks and experience this adventure with an open mind
Always be attentive and present in the water, keeping your ears above water and paying close attention to the Safety Diver's instructions
If you are prone to seasickness, please take Dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour
A minimum of 3 people per trip is required for any trip. If you are booking as a single passenger, we will contact you if the minimum trip requirements are not met.

I went with two friends and it was just awesome. It really worth it. The instructors are so nice and professionals in his job. There is nothing to be afraid of, its a completely cool adventure.

My family was in Oahu to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We did the 8 am pelagic dive tour on 9 May and it was by far, the best part of our entire trip. I originally signed up to be a rider only, but changed my mind at the last minute, and I am so glad I did. Otherwise, I would have missed out on a once in a lifetime experience. Island View was so very easy to work with, everyone associated with the company is just fantastic. The dive groups are small (there were 4 of us and two others). Ryder was our safety diver, Kyle our photographer and Uncle Dave our driver. They all made us feel relaxed and comfortable, like we were part of their family. Their instructions were clear and concise, and everyone was so patient with us because not gonna lie, I was pretty freaked out at first about doing this. Especially when you arrive at the dive spot and see sharks circling the boat. Uncle Dave made sure everyone was geared up properly, Ryder signaled us into the water one by one; the water was so blue and clear it almost seemed fake. We were immediately in the company of several sharks, some very close beside us, some underneath us. I have to admit the initial panic of being in the water with all these sharks was soon replaced by a calmness I still cannot explain, and I then really started enjoying myself snorkeling around (but I still made sure I had eyes on Ryder every minute!). We saw other sea life as well (smaller fish, jellies, etc.). When it was over I can say all of us had a new perspective on these beautiful creatures. Kyle took some great photos and his price is very reasonable, but you can bring your own recording device (Go Pro, etc.). If you want to see wild animals in their natural habitat, my entire family highly recommends making Island View and a pelagic dive a part of your vacation.

This was one of the best things I have done in my life!! My fiance and I plus my cousin, her partner and my auntie and uncle did this tour together. They only allow 6 people per boat which was nice as it was intimate and made you feel a lot safer when in the water. It was definitely scary as we were driving out there and as you anchor you see how big these sharks are but once you are in the water it becomes instantly calm. Watching these majestic creatures in their own world was such an amazing experience and has made me feel less scared about sharks. The team were incredible, talked us through everything and were there every step of the way to ensure our safety. Don't hesitate book this tour now you won't regret it! Make sure you purchase their photos as well... they are great! Thanks guys.. we'll never forget this! The family from Australia!
