What To Expect

Liberty Bell Center

Depart New York through New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the "City of Brotherly Love"—Philadelphia.

Congress Hall

Arriving in the historical center of Philadelphia, visit the famous Liberty Bell, one of the symbols of freedom in America, as well as Constitution Square and Congress Hall.

Elfreth's Alley

Stroll Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited street in America.

Rocky Statue

Continue on a panoramic tour of Philadelphia that includes the Financial District, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Historic Philadelphia, and more. Departing the city, you'll see the famous “Rocky Steps,” before continuing east to Lancaster County, the traditional home of the Amish people.

Amish Country

Start your time in Amish country with a ride on an authentic Amish horse-drawn buggy that you through Amish farm country. Learn how this traditional community lives without the benefit of modern technology: no electricity, running water, telephone services, or appliances. After the ride, visit the marketplace where you can shop for handmade arts crafts and products. In the late afternoon depart east for your evening arrival back in NYC.

This is the second time we have done this trip, booked through viator. We actually had the same a year as we had two years ago, Irene. She was very knowledgeable and a great guide. You visit philadelphia first and see some lovely places, however our favourite part of the trip is the afternoon when you visit the Amish County. The area and views are stunning and it is so interesting to talk to the Amish people, to learn about their lives. You have a ride in a horse drawn cart and then go to Kettle village. We would prefer longer in the Amish County.

Booked this trip through viator and am glad i did. What a beautiful city Philli is, saw plenty of sites of interest but never felt rushed. The philli cheese steak was ok the restaurant we were taken to was a bit chaotic and confusing but u get plenty of time. We went by coach and the start was early at 7am but its two hours to philli. There were chargers on the coach seats so i would recommend watching a film on your phone. Eddie our guide was excellent and very informative. The Armish town of Lancaster is an hour from philli but was a nice drive through country and was worth seeing how the Armish live. You get to ask plenty of questions on the cart so maybe think about what you'd like to know before boarding. You stop at the farm where tge armish children sell you cookies and fresh made lemonade for about 2 dollars so have change ready. We got back around 7.30pm. Its a long day but thoroughly recommend going.

The coach trip was good. Unfortunately it rained all during stop in Phili. Amish country interesting but very commercialised. Still worth it.
