Our Philly By Night tour offers a spectacular view of the city after dark, when our skyline is beautifully transformed with lights. The tour passes by historic sites such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and makes a stop at the Philadelphia Art Museum's "Rocky Steps" where you can snap a photo with the hometown hero or run to the top of the steps for the best view of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and City Hall. The tour also travels through historic Society Hill and along Penn's Landing.

For a fun and informative overview on the city of Philadelphia, take the 'Philly By Night' double-decker bus tour. This 2-hour adventure offers a different perspective on the 'City of Brotherly Love' in the evening, with all the attractions and landmark locations lit up under the night sky. This sightseeing tour begins at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, located on Market Street, a 1-minute walk from Reading Terminal Market. The bus leaves at 8pm and the suggested boarding time is 7:30pm. 'Philly by Night' is not of the 'hop-on hop-off' variety, but passengers will have the opportunity to climb the famous Rocky Steps at the entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and to take pictures of the city's nighttime skyline. Enjoy live narration from a tour guide/host, who will share interesting stories and facts about one of America's oldest cities. Along the way, visit Penn's Landing, South Street, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Chinatown, the Avenue of the Arts, the Ben Franklin Parkway, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and much more. The tour ends back at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown around 10pm.

Our tour was excellent! Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke clearly. She did a wonderful job of helping us learn a bit about philly. The only issue we had was finding the bus. It was not where we were told it would be and we came close to missing it. That needs to be changed. The weather was perfect and the length of time for the tour was just right. Very glad we did it!!

The tour was great and we were so lucky with the weather! I have taken this tour before several years ago and was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t as much information given this time around. Our tour guide was fun and she cracked a few jokes along the way. She pointed out the primary historical landmarks and information but a lot of extras were left out that I thought could have enhanced the tour. For example … the Philly row homes — why the doors were painted different colors? Or the fact the Eastern State Penitentiary had running water and central heat before the White House. I missed those fun facts. The bus driver went through really fast and even our guide had to tell her several times to slow down a bit. It was an annoying recurring theme. All in all, Philadelphia is still a beautiful place laced with history and I’d still recommend this tour to get your city bearings and location of historical places and museums.
