Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods Tour

Overview

This is a great way to see an interesting park and one of the highest peaks in America. Garden of the Gods is home to a plethora of geological and ecological rarities that make the park a prime site for nature lovers. The rock formations seem to come out of nowhere and its amazing how it stands without falling.

We will stop in the quant beautiful town of Manitou springs for lunch and to take in the beautiful views of this mountain town.

We will then head almost an hour up to Pikes Peak at 14,115 ft, which is one of the highest peaks in the USA with many stop offs and beautiful views all around. This tour is available all year as long as Pikes Peak is open.

If Pikes Peak is closed by car we have the option of taking the cog railroad for $40 extra which goes to the top even in the snow. Or we have some other options like seeing the manitou cliff dwellings where the native Americans lived with a good museum or Cave of the Winds.

We can pick up people in Colorado Springs too.

What To Expect

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is home to a plethora of geological and ecological rarities that make the park a prime site for nature lovers. From the discovery of a new species of dinosaur, to a subspecies of honey ant not previously recorded, this park is home to countless flora and fauna. It takes about an hour to get to Garden of the Gods and then we have an hour to explore the area.

Manitou Springs

After visiting the Garden of the Gods we will stop by Manitou Springs for lunch. Manitou Springs is a resort city in Colorado, just outside Colorado Springs. It’s known for its mineral springs and mountain landscapes, dominated by soaring Pikes Peak.

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain

Pikes Peak is the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, in North America. The ultra-prominent 14,115-foot fourteener is located in Pike National Forest, 12 miles west of downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. The safe and scenic Pikes Peak Highway provides you the opportunity to enjoy 19 miles of mountain terrain, with frequent pull-offs for you to get out, stretch your legs, and take photos. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views, four different Colorado life zones and unique animal sightings, like the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, yellow-bellied marmots and (rumored) Big Foot. We takes almost an hour from Manitou Springs to get to the top of Pikes Peak. We can stop at a few places on the way as well as the top for about an hour. We will leave the peak and head back to Denver which takes about 2 hours.

Wonderful time with Jeremy, picked us up at the hotel on time, was nice, full of intetesting tips and knowledge, shown us increible places, not so popular and Crowded but unforgettable, was prepared with all the equipment including pikes, gloves etc, cooked a soup for us, we made Picnic (he had hummus, veggies, fruits, cookies, water and more!), was waiting for us if needed... it was really great!!!

Wonderful time with Jeremy, great day, everything on time and exceeded expectations! Perfectly prepared, even cooked a soup for us :) Prepared the picnic during the day (proposed hummus, veggies, fruits, cookies and more!), shows us with patience wonderful places, Gardens of Gods is great and Pikes Peak even better, no hiking required, we were able to see incredible views with only few steps from the car. Very nice and with great stories. Highly recommended for everyone!!
