We were so excited for this tour as my son is obsessed with pirates. They have an adorable little set up to take a photo with that makes the perfect photo opportunity just before u board the ship. However, they are rather rude about taking photos there. Understandably they want to sell you their photo at the end, which is okay, but they literally ruined our experience from the start by being so rude about this as my son just wanted to touch the wheel and pretend drive the ship. Meanwhile they were rushing us to not take any pics with our phones and let them do their one photo. They did that but literally you can’t see one member of our party’s face at all. So they were rude about it, to basically get another $10 by selling you the photo that we wouldn’t buy anyway because of the lack of quality. We weren’t all looking. If the $10 is that important to “your boss” then add $10 to the overall price and call it a “free photo included”. The open bar is likely nice for some, but didn’t apply to our family - so for the $120 for 3 humans and we don’t have a photo memory to show for it with the pirate ship itself / the prop or anything showing the experience we had hoped for - is disappointing. They don’t allow kids on the upper deck, which for safety I can appreciate, but it would be nice to have a pretend wheel or similar down low for the kids to touch / pretend drive. My son was intrigued by the captain / driving the ship / the wheel and none of that was accessible to him. The ship was packed, at full capacity with no real space to “social distance” which is fine with our particular family, but could be concerning to some in today’s world. The 2 pirates that did interact with the kids were fun, truly got into their roles; did a great job of trying to keep the kids engaged while onboard. If we hadn’t have had such a rough interaction boarding the ship likely the entire experience would have unfolded differently, but upselling the client that extra $10 photo was definitely most important to them. We however were there for a true fun, memory making evening with pirates and the captain. We did it once because of the toddler’s obsession with pirates, but we wouldn’t go back to this specific experience.

Good Afternoon, we are sorry to hear about your disappointment. We work hard to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time on board the Royal Conquest and it is important that our guests are satisfied. The small ship on the dock is specifically for our photo use but we encourage you to take as many photos as possible while on board during the cruise. If you are interested in having a new photo taken, we would be more than happy to do so. Please contact us to set up a time to come out. 727.423.7824. The open bar is a great feature that most enjoy. Since it includes your sodas, lemonade and water, we are pleased to offer something for everyone. We are fortunate to be located in the great state of Florida and are allowed to operate at 100% capacity, which is indicated in our covid policy. We would be happy to discuss this further to clear up any confusion. Please reach out at your earliest convenience. Thank you

We took our 7 year old grandson this past Friday and it was a worth while experience all around, the crew and captain were top notch. The ship was very clean and the crew’s inaction with the kids was awesome.

Reed did an excellent job of entertaining kids and adults. It was fun for the whole family. Free beer was a bigger plus.
