What To Expect

Pirates of the Quarter Tours

Walk in the footsteps of real pirates that walked the streets of the French Quarter during the early 1800's! From While travelling through Jackson Square, Seeing the famous pirates alley, and stopping by the legendary Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. While walking through the heart of the French Quarter you will hear the true stories of the Laffite Brothers. Pirates and privateers that built a smuggling empire here in Louisiana and New Orleans and also helped to defend the city against the British during the Battle of New Orleans. 2 hour walking tour. 15 minute restroom/ drink break halfway through tour. Drinks not included in price of tour. Tip not included.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pirate tour. Not only did we learn about some important pirates in the history of New Orleans, we also gained a better understanding of The Battle of New Orleans itself. We also appreciated that our walking tour included a quick stop to pick up some adult beverages before continuing on our way. This was very educational and a ton of fun!

Great Tour! The guide was very entertaining and informative. We learned all about the role of the Pirates in the Battle of New Orleans along with a lot of other local history.

LOVED this tour so much! Our guide was a very engaging storyteller who dispelled a few myths while revealing the exciting true history of the pirates who lived in and fought for the city of New Orleans. I especially loved that our guide revealed the stories of the Lafitte brothers one piece at a time, always leaving us hanging on his words and guessing how it would end. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in history delivered with a big side of entertainment. You will love learning the exciting true history of the real pirates of the French Quarter!
