Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

My sons had their 1st surf lesson on 7/15/18. They loved it, the staff was so wonderful and all of my boys were up on their boards. They can't wait to come back and do it again.

What an amazing experience with an amazing group of instructors!!! Zero complaints and 100% recommended. We went with are 3 daughters (15, 13, 7) and they loved it even with the water being soooo cold. My 7 year old was hesitant at first, however she ended up loving it and her instructor was great with her. Staff was simply amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. So happy we went with this company. No regrets!!!

Went there with my two daughters (age 14 and 20) and we were all beginnners. We joined a larger group, but there were plenty of instructors (min. 1:3). The instructors were all knowledgeable, patient and created a great atmosphere. One of us was having problems getting up on the board and Maria worked very patiently trying diff. methods. After two hours we were all surfing waves :-) Great fun and great people.
