Pittsburgh Private Tours

Overview
There’s no better way to see Pittsburgh than with a private guide to show you the most interesting spots and share their knowledge about the city. Get to know the hidden secrets and fascinating history lying around every corner of downtown, take the Duquesne Incline up Mt. Washington for the best view of the city, see the old Heinz factory, drive up the steepest public street in America, and explore all the coolest neighborhoods of Pittsburgh!

Go to the top of the Cathedral of Learning, the tallest educational building in the Western hemisphere.

See Andy Warhol’s childhood home, Mr. Roger's home and studio and visit the former Heinz factory while speaking Pittsburghese “so yinz can fit in n’at.”

I’ll tell you how Pittsburgh came to be known as the “Steel City,” about legendary Pittsburghers like Andrew Carnegie and Henry J. Heinz, and how the Pittsburgh Renaissance turned Pittsburgh from a smoky, industrial city into “America’s Most Livable City.”

Russell took us from the tip of the city and from the short version of early history and then through this vibrant city. He is an easygoing smart young man. We highly recommend this walking tour.

This tour was amazing! Russell truly cares about Pittsburgh and it’s history. For 90 minutes he takes you all the way around the city and shows you buildings if historical importance. I would definitely do this tour again and will tell all my friends that when they’re in Pittsburgh they should do this tour as well!

Our guide, Russell, was super knowledgeable about Pittsburgh and obviously loves sharing his passion for the city with others. Honestly, I was a little nervous about the hour and a half (travelling with kids), but the tour flew by quickly. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, I strongly recommend you take this tour to get an idea of what the city's about and to see some really cool spots!
