What To Expect

Plantation Adventure Center

The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

Enjoyed the trip although we didn’t see anything resembling a manatee or indeed any other marine life. However the guys running the tour boat were reasonably informative, friendly and amusing. I would point out that the address leaves out an important detail ie that it is located at the back of the Plantation Hotel. Stating 9301 W Fort Island Trail is not much help on a country road with almost no numbered housing, even the real estate agent 200 yards away didn’t know where it was. Perhaps an amendment to the ticketing might not go amiss.

Our scenic cruise resembles an "eco tour" but is most of the time, lucky enough to see some manatees too! Thanks for the suggestion on the ticketing edit, We'll work on that!

Boat captain gave very informative narrative throughout the cruise. Learned a lot about the manatees and the environment. Highly recommend!
