What To Expect

Plantation Adventure Center

The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

When I booked this cruise no one mentioned that if you are in a low tide there were many things you couldn’t see. We did see some manatees much to the surprise of our guide. We had a female guide who seemed more interested in telling us what you could it do in the bay instead of the things you could. She told us we should eat at The Crab Plant because all their food is locally sourced (snow crab legs?). Not so much at Crackers. Then she said if you were staying at the Port Hotel sorry for your luck. We happened to be staying there because we love small hotels. I don’t think a guide should belittle any local business on a tour. I feel she should not be a tour guide she should stay under the water where she can’t talk. When I left a tip(for the driver he did a good job) I noticed other people weren’t very happy either mine was the only dollar in tip jar
