What To Expect

Plantation Adventure Center

The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

The website states that it is wheelchair accessible, but it is not. I planned this trip ahead of time for my Florida visit. We drove and hour and a half, then found I could not get on the boat. My money is being refunded, but I am still very disappointed at missing this tour.

I am sorry for the disappointment. We do not under any circumstances advertise as Handicap accessible. We have a 2 to 3 foot tide change daily. It is impossible for us to accommodate heavy wheelchairs. We do everything in our power to help all passengers on and off the boats. Again I am sorry for your experience.

It’s a short ride down the river and back. It was interesting learning about the grass planting of the river bottom and ongoing clean up of the river. The boat is covered so you can avoid direct sun if it’s a hot day.

We enjoyed our scenic tour with Henri and Captain Kitt. Very informative and pleasant cruise through King's Bay. Highly recommend.
