Pony Rides For Kids

Overview

On our pony rides, your keiki (kids) have a chance to do something they'll always feel proud of. Riding a horse is an unforgettable experience for kids, and our wranglers will help them become little wranglers in a setting that’s safe and comfortable.

Parents can walk alongside their child at no charge and get a few great photos along the way. Parents can also ride a horse alongside their child for the same price. One of our wranglers will lead, or “pony”, the horse while the kids sit in the saddle and feel on top of the world. Parents and kids alike can take in the beautiful scenery on the ranch, enjoying native Hawaiian plants, birds, and a cool, fresh breeze. Gunstock Ranch is situated in one of the most picturesque spots on Oahu’s North Shore, so there’s plenty for all ages to appreciate.
After the ride, children will have a chance to feed and pet the horses for the perfect end to a great adventure.

CHECK-IN TIME: Check-in time is 30 minutes prior to the start time of tour

All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. 235lb/109kg weight limit
Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Our 3 yr old was all smiles the entire time at Gunstock Ranch. Shaina was a great guide and our son loved it. He rode the horse, Buttons, for the entire 30 minute ride. My wife and I walked alongside as Shaina guided the reins and we toured the beautiful grounds of the ranch. After the ride, our son got to brush and feed Buttons and later capped it off at the petting zoo area with two newborn sheep. This is NOT your run of the mill pony ride around a circle pen. This is a legit horseback ride that gives your child a great first experience in the saddle. Highly recommended!

My girls have been asking to take a pony ride for a while, so we were finally able to set one up at Gunstock Ranch. They were so excited and got all dressed up in their boots and cowgirl hats! Candis was amazing at teaching my girls how to mount and ride the horses and made sure they knew their horses name. My older daughter was a little bit apprehensive b/c she was going to have to lead her horse on her own due to Candis having to lead my younger daughter's horse. Her fear quickly went away after Candis gave her instructions and showed her how to do it. They loved the whole experience, including feeding and brushing the horse afterwards! They keep asking me when we can go again! Thanx so much!
