The main reason I came to Alaska was to see whales and I would say Juneau is the best place for this experience! Not only did they know exactly where the whales were, but we were able to see a mama and baby whale! The baby was breaching and putting on quite the show! The naturalist on board was great at giving facts about humpback whales and the day was perfect! We also were taken to Mendenhall Glacier where we hiked about a mile to Nugget Falls. I highly recommend this combo tour as it gives you a great glimpse at the natural wonders! While the bussing back to our ship could be a bit more organized, if you are patient and don't wait until the last minute to get the bus, then you will be fine! It's a popular destination in the height of the season, so patience is always needed!

If you have a large group and want a private tour, Juneau Tours and Whale Watch is the way to go! Be sure to ask for Mandy and Jayden! They know what they’re doing! Whales, a fast boat, and many stories!! The kids and adults held onto every word! I have our group picture on my iPhone (I’ll add that to this review) but I still need to download our whale pictures from my camera when we get back home!

Seeing a few whales. The water was very choppy and our boat driver was going very fast and slamming the waves so hard. It was a scary ride.
