Premier Whale Watch and Mendenhall Glacier Combo

Overview

Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. You get 1.5 hours at the park, but don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.
The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes

What To Expect

Goldbelt Tram

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

the pilot was named Steve and the guides we're Jason and Ty, both of whom were excellent.

If anyone is planning a Juneau whale watching trip these Guy's will do you right, and Ty will keep you entertained and if

he says GET YOUR CAMERAS you better get your caneras.

We went to the glacier first and could have used a little more time, but looking back, I'm glad we had more time for the whale watch. All bus drivers were good and informative. The whale watch was excellent. We got more time than advertised and saw four different whales. The boat driver and guide were excellent and were both from Juneau. I only gave a rating of four because the company was a little disorganized at the start. They did not have a booth and only one person trying to give directions to seventy plus people trying to go on different tours.

This excursion was awesome. We were able to spend a good amount of time for both the Mendenhall Glacier and the Whale watching. The whale watching guides provided a good information about the whales and were able to answer any questions the group had.
