Premier Whale Watch and Mendenhall Glacier Combo

Overview
Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

We were booked with Harv and Marv on a small boat. Our tour with them was canceled due to weather. I was so very disappointed that I was almost in tears. We found Juneau tours at the pier and they were able to get us on a larger boat and a trip to Mendenhall Glacier. It was a great day! So very thankful the I did not miss seeing whales while in Juneau! Boat Captain and staff were great!!

We did this tour last month with my 2 elderly parents with limited mobility. It was fantastic! The team, consisting of Capt. Dan, Dave and Marina were so knowledgeable and made sure we had our fill of whale sightings. Their own passion about the whales and Juneau was clear to see & just added to the experience. We were so lucky to witness bubble net feeding behaviour, which according to Marina is especially rare in September. It was utterly amazing. We cannot recommend this tour enough. An experience we will treasure forever. Thanks Juneau Tours.

Despite the day being mostly a wet one, the company lived up to its name and whales were spotted, so there were no refunds. A beach full of lazing sea lions was also visited. The crew was great and obviously love their job and did their upmost to make sure the passengers were kept entertained and informed. The boat ride itself was smooth despite the choppy waters but we were fortunate that there was little wind. At the glacier, we were given an hour to explore which essentially is enough time to reach the visitor center and photo viewpoint for the glacier but not enough time to walk to the falls. Despite the weather setback, I give credit to the staff and crew who worked hard to look after passengers and guests. You can't control the wild life or the weather, but a happy staff can still make the visit enjoyable. The trip was booked as a shore excursion with our cruise-line. Having done it once now, I'll save the money and stay in Juneau next visit.
