Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

We booked this tour for my sister-in-laws birthday. We had an all lady crew for our boat and saw plenty of whales and even some sea lions. The crew answered all of our questions and gave personal accounts of what like in Alaska is like. They even let my sister-in-law drive the boat for a short time in honor of her birthday. All of us in our group had a great time and would highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely a great experience. The crew of Captain Dan, Russell, and John were knowledgeable and fun. They delivered on the whales, and the weather was excellent. The boat was well maintained and very clean. The pick up and drop off were well organized, and directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this tour company.

The shuttle took us to the whale watching boat, then to the Mendenhall Glacier, then back to the cruise dock. It was a great day. Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful. We saw 7 different whales while on the boat. The young guides were local young people who gave a lot of interesting information about the whales and life in Juneau. I would definitely recommend this excursion!
