Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

Had a great time with captain Dan and crew Danielle and Russell. They did an excellent job of locating the whales. We even had a special treat and found orcas. They were very informative! We highly this company. Then on to the Mendenhall glacier. The bus drivers were great as well!!

We were a group of six who picked the Juneau Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier combo on July 6th and were just so lucky to get on the boat captained by Capt. Daniel and the wonderful team of 'Kris' and 'Jayden". They were an amazing team and knew just where to take us to see so many whales and some so close. We have amazing pics and video to show for it. Kris was so full of enthusiasm and very very knowledgeable about marine life and their habits etc. Always had time to answer our questions and they were both pleasing to listen to. His enthusiasm was definitely infectious as we would all be so loud at every spotting. Moreover you could tell they loved what they did the way they talked about marine environment protection etc. Thank you Kris, Jayden and Capt Daniel for a once in a lifetime whale watching experience for us.

Took an excursion with Juneau Tours to here and Nugget Falls while on a Princess Cruise to Alaska. This is a must if in Juneau as after a short hike from the trail head and visitor center you can get very close to both. The trail although well maintained can be very crowded so be aware and allow time for the hike. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie as our bus driver who is a great interpreter of the local area and will point out lots interesting things on the route to the trailhead. Her enthusiasm was appreciated by everybody in our group! * SEE MY REVIEW AND PHOTO OF THEIR WHALE WATCHING TOUR WHICH WE ALSO TOOK AND WAS AMAZING!
