What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

The full-day Grand Teton National Park tour will begin close to sunrise to maximize the hours of the day when wildlife is most active. Your naturalist guide will seek out wildlife hotspots, often off the beaten path on unmarked dirt roads in our comfortable 4wheel drive safari vehicles. Make use of our Swarovski spotting scopes and binoculars to view the daily habits of local fauna, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans. After a morning session of uninterrupted wildlife observation, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, then we’ll continue to explore the natural landscape of the park and if desired by the group, we’ll embark on a short walk, along easy terrain, to observe the smaller wonders of this park. Make sure to pick your expert guide’s brain on topics like animal behavior, animal adaptations, the geology of the area, local botany, and the cultural history of this special place.

I can't say enough about my experience with Jackson Hole Eco Tours. 5 stars all the way! I booked a private all day Grand Teton tour with the focus on landscape & wildlife photography. I was met promptly by Ryan, my guide for the day at 6 AM at my hotel. He was wonderful! Experienced, knowledgeable, knew photography, scouted the wildlife, & watched out for me and other park visitors when needed. He even asked me for my photography wish list & provided!! We saw grizzlies, moose, elk, coyotes, pronghorns, bison, big horned sheep, mountain blue birds, warblers, an assortment of water fowl, and the list goes on. I have over 1000 images to cull through from the experience. The vehicle used was a customized full size SUV with a hatch in the roof that I could open when we stopped & photograph standing from the inside. Clean & fresh throughout. It was equipped with Swarovski scopes & binoculars for him and me to use which we did! Cold pressed coffee was made at a morning stop with a light breakfast snack. Drinks provided throughout the day with energy snacks with a gourmet sandwich lunch around noon. I did not go hungry or thirsty at all. Ryan was the best & I will use Jackson Hole Eco Tours again for Yellowstone and/or a combined Teton/Yellowstone tour in the future & will ask for Ryan every time.

Our guide Ben was very aware of everything, although we had already spotted a lot of wildlife during our holiday he still provides new elements. The roads they take you can never know for yourself as a tourist and so we stood alone with a whole herd of bison.. I would recommend it to everyone. From breakfast to lunch and snacks, drinks .... Good binoculars... everything has been thought of.
