BEWARE! booked an paid for a transfer from Newark airport to midtown Manhattan hotel one month ago. Got a confirmation email. Followed the instructions stated, but there was no agent present, the extension called was not working and the regular phone line endet in the endless loop of „your call is important to us and picked up soon …“. Fount out they haven‘t been working from Newark for TWO YEARS!!! What a SCAM!

Arrived at Newark airport, to find no one waiting. Tried to contact the company on the numbers on the booking and line just rang and rang until eventually cut off. After trying to call for 40 minutes finally got through and told car was being dispatched it would be 20 minutes and to wait at the pick up point outside. After an hour in the wind and rain, no car! Tried ringing again and after several attempts finally got through to the company and they said a car hadn’t been dispatched yet! They would dispatch one now but it would be about 15 minutes. Like fools we waited for another 45 minutes in the rain and still no car! Tried to ring company again but no answer. Finally gave up and got a cab! When arrived at the hotel in Manhattan the company rang to say the car was pulling up at the airport, nearly 3 hours after we landed! Not the VIP experience promised. Not only have I not received my money back and apology it cost over £50 making phone calls to try and get hold of the company and another $70 for the cab.

I've used Viator to book many tours in the past which is why I didn't hesitate to use this company to book a shuttle to transport my family of 9 from JFK Airport to our hotel. I booked and paid for the service three weeks prior to our trip. When we landed, I was instructed to call the service (the number listed on the voucher) and they would arrange for the driver to meet my party at the terminal. As soon as I landed I called the number and was instructed to call back after we picked up our bags at baggage claim. After everyone in our party secured their bags we called the service and was informed that they didn't have any drivers to service us and told us to basically go to the Welcome Center at the airport and maybe they could help us with a solution. They offered to give us our money back but didn't offer up any contingency plan. There we stand all nine of us, two small kids some of us our first time to NY trying to figure out how we would get to our hotel. I still haven't received a refund and at this point will just dispute the charge on my credit card. I called Viator to explain the situation and they gave me the run around that this was a third party and I had to wait until they confirmed that I didn't take the shuttle before a refund was offered. The third party that they used never sent anything over to Viator apparently and I am still waiting to hear from Viator. I will never use them again for a shuttle service and would advise no one else to use them. We ended up catching a shuttle service from the airport that ironically ended up being cheaper than the price that I pre-booked and paid for through Viator.
