Get ready for a truly authentic food experience of a lifetime. I'm Lanai Tabura, born and raised in Hawaii and currently the host of Cooking Hawaiian Style which airs in 250 cites in the US & 5 other countries. I'm going to take you to all my local favorite hole in walls and establishments that you'll never find unless you were born and raised here in the islands. Some of these place I've been to since I was a child. I just recently won a Emmy award 2018 for the history of a Ramen Documentary. I am also part of the Food Network team Aloha Plate that won season 4 Of "The Great Food Truck Race" I've appeared with Anthony Bourdaim, Man vs. Food & Diners Drive-ins a Dives. I host a series that just begun airing in Hawaii and Hawaiian Airlines called "We Go Eat" that features the foods from Hawaii.

Lanai picked us up in a Tesla SUV and was an awesome tour guide. Our vacation planning company booked this for myself and my wife. We had no clue Lanai was a famous dude. He is super nice and very passionate about his island. The food was interesting and this is something you should definitely try while visiting. Lanai was limping due to a surf accident and I felt bad for him since I have had a messed up hip and torn calve muscle from playing sports. The tour takes you to where the locals go to eat and that was the best part since we would have never tried these places on our own.

My daughter and I had the most amazing morning spending time with Lanai on this personalized tour of some of the best hidden gems in the Oahu area. Lanai picks you up and takes you on an amazing journey through the Oahu/Waikiki area. Lanai's expertise and knowledge of the history and culture of Hawaii is incredible. I've done food tours all over the United States and in several countries and this was definitely one of my favorite. You can't beat the one on one attention and opportunity to experience REAL Hawaiian cuisine.

Best food tour in Hawaii, hands down. Lanai took us to amazing eateries and we were able to try authentic Hawaiian foods in the area. My absolute favorite was the ube dessert and the manapua but honestly, all the food we tasted was spectacular. It was awesome being guided by Lanai and it was a small group, just me and my friend and it offered us an opportunity to ask as many questions as possible. He’s super knowledgeable not only in Hawaiian foods but in other cuisines as well. The drive was smooth in his Tesla and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a foodie and looking to eat where the locals go.
