James and Kristen made a great experience for us. Saw many whales and a sea lion. They were personable and made for a fun experience.

We signed up for a group of 10.....wound up with 48 people. They said VIATOR decided not to send the small boat out. Couldn't sit together, LOUD CAT, bad experience.

We do not offer a tour for a group of 10. It sounds like VIATOR communicated to you that you would be on a 10-passenger tour. You can only have your own boat if you book a private charter option. So we are sorry there was miscommunication via your booking agency Viator, who is separate from Alaska Tales. It sounds like you were expecting something you did not book, and for that we apologize for their miscommunication.

The whale watching trip we did with captain James and Taz was a memory I will have for the rest of my life. It was spectacular. They shared great information about whales and wildlife and knew right where to go to see these amazing animals. It was the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. The glacier was great to see too.
