The Stabler-Leadbetter Apothecary was a significant retail shop patronized by the occupying Union Army during the Civil War. As Alexandria became a Union logistics and medical center, it was a vital source of supplies needed by the Union Army in garrison here.

We scheduled a walking tour in Alexandria for our family of 8 and our dog. It was terrific! Tom knew a ton about the history of the town and made the time to get to know all the family members on the tour. Highly recommend do this tour when you are in the area.

Great guide with so much interesting information. Involved both kids and adults in tour. A definite to book if you're looking for a great civil war tour. Alot of little known civil war information.
