What To Expect

Roulaison Distilling Co

Join us as we explore how rum's deep-rooted history in New Orleans and the Caribbean has shaped the techniques used at our award-winning distillery, and learn how our approach compares to most modern-day rum production. This is an approximately one hour long, guided distillery tour that offers five different samplings of rum, including distillery-exclusive special release bottlings.

This was a great experience and was really interesting to hear and see how rum is made in the heart of New Orleans. The distillery is quite small, and probably the better for that. The tour guide was one of the owners and had fantastic knowledge in the subject and a clear passion for what he is doing. There was sampling of the rums and liquors that they make, and all very very strong (with proper measures !). My particular favourite was the chocolate rum liquor. There is the chance to buy some spirits and other products at a discount at the time, which we did. Due to the distillery being away from the centre of New Orleans, we got an Uber, which worked well.

Perfect add-on to any NOLA trip! My girlfriend and I had some extra time that we wanted to fill during our 5-day trip to NOLA; Roulaison was the perfect way to spend it. After a short bus ride from Canal Street we arrived to the quaintest distillery I've ever seen. We were a little late and the only ones on the tour, but our guide was so kind and informative! We had a great and educational time, particularly as two barely legal college students lol! The Rum was awesome too, not that we know much about good and bad spirits, but the herbal and cacao rums were delicious. I would definitely buy Roulasion Rum if I find them up in NYC.
