Join us on a restored 1958 Century Coronado named Radiance, a classic American wooden boat. This is like riding in a classic car on the water. With its big powerful engine, this will take you back to the grand days on the water on the 50's. It's a truly unique experience.

Private charters with a maximum of 6 people. Perfect for a couples night-out, special occasion birthday, anniversary cruise or an intimate wedding.

Radiance cruises are best appreciated during the early morning and evening alpenglow hours. Daytime lake conditions are less predictable, yet cruises are available and always a good time.

Our staff at Alpenglow Boat Company are delighted to create special event cruises with clients, such as full moon stargazing and sunrise tours. Just ask!

Emerald Bay State Park

Our captain will guide you to see and learn all about Emerald Bay. Learn about Lake Tahoe, the bay, its history and about the famous Vikingsholm Castle.

D.L. Bliss State Park

With enough time we'll cruise up to the crystal clear water of D.L Bliss State Park just north of Emerald Bay.

What an amazing experience. Ed was very knowledgeable of the area and a kind man. Saw some of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen that you can't experience from the shore. Hghly recommend for those looking to have a pure Tahoe local experience. He has multiple options available for seeing different parts of this vast lake.. and different tour/ cruise lengths too. Absolutely gorgeous!

Alpenglow Boat Co is a locally owned small business. I liked dealing directly with the owner and captain, not a booking office. The private charter was perfect for our family of four. Our girls are 10 and 12. Riding in a perfectly restored 1958 wooden boat felt like stepping back in time. If you go out early, the lake is also pretty empty (also a time warp). Ed was an entertaining captain and tour guide. I actually lived in South Lake in the past, and he taught me about some Tahoe history that I didn’t know. This tour is perfect for couples, families with kids, families with teens, or even a fun way to entertain business clients. Highly recommend.
