Overview

Exploring DC by bike gives you the opportunity to experience DC’s iconic monuments and museums in a personable and approachable way. With your own personal guide, you can relax, enjoy the city's sites so much more and we'll help bring history to life! Adults and children of all ages can enjoy riding bikes together; smaller children may be chauffeured safely in our custom "Precious Cargo Bike" to carry children ages 2 to 10 and/or on a tag-along. We will be happy to add other sites of interest for you and your kids. Always a favorite DC experience for the entire crew.

What To Expect

White House

We'll check out and discuss some of the White House's amazing history and some remarkable stories. We'll also admire a few of the other nearby buildings of note.

U.S. Capitol

We'll soak up great views, discuss some of the building's amazing history, and take family photos with the US Capitol Building.

National Mall

We'll ride up the mall discussing key landmarks and the Smithsonians along the way.

Washington Monument

We'll get as close as we can (currently under reconstruction of the elevator) and learn some of the fascinating stories of the challenges of building the tallest stone structure in the world.

Lincoln Memorial

This is such an amazing memorial and we take the time to take you inside to see some of the key details and easy to miss symbolism

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

A moving tribute with a great backstory. We can delve into more details and check it out if desired.

Korean War Veterans Memorial

Another moving memorial loaded with symbolism we will share with you.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

Incredible vantage points and symbolism we'll be sure you see.

Jefferson Memorial

Jeff was amazing! We had a special day touring all of the monuments around DC and covered a lot of ground! He was extremely knowledgeable and very kind to all of our kids! Highly recommend this experience!

Cycling with Jeff through DC was amazing! A 10 out of 10!! The tour exceeded our expectations, as all three kids (17, 14, 12) announced that this bike tour was the best part of our trip. Jeff has a wealth of knowledge about DC, and was certain to share stories you don't typically hear about in history books. Jeff was a great guide (we stopped at all the big destination spots, and he took us to some of the lesser known spots as well), photographer (he graciously took photos of our family in front of all of the stops), and host (he brought us all personal water bottles, snacks, and extra clothing to adapt to the weather). The trip was a fun way to see the city, while also sneaking in a little exercise. We highly recommend Jeff's bike tour and this experience!

Jeff was an awesome giude! Very knowledable about all of the different monuments and historical sites which made the tour fun and interesting. He went at a comfortably pace and we never felt rushed at any of the sites. I would highly recommend this tour to other families!
